Well it's been a while since I've updated and I been feeling guilty about it too. Much has changed. I'm now in possession of three cars now (pic's on site), a TT-01, TB-02 Drift (was a shelf queen, now a dirt princes) they came as a match set, and my first TB-02 which I turned for drifting.
The shelf queen has been interesting, I got her from my friend (the one who started all the RC stuff at work), after he had some personal disasters, that's why I wound up with the TT-01, he had never driven the car, he caught a bad case of hop-up addiction, so the day I got it, I transferred my radio gear and had a play for a few minutes on the tarsal, went ok. Next day, brought her out and had a play indoors, one of my work mates wanted a go, let him, that when I noticed the left front well wasn't turning and i know that car has two spools, so I quickly went to the car and found the blue aluminium swing shaft had snapped, and after doing a lot of hop-up research I found that there are no blue aluminium fount swing shafts for the TB-02, they only make them for the rear, so I found an online store in NZ that stocked TB-02 parts, and purchase steal swing shafts. Spent an hour replacing them, found that it was a grub screw that had caused the problem, fixed it, removed the front spool and replaced it with a diff, and now runs a lot better.
So just a break down on the dirt princess, TB-02 Drift, almost all the hop-ups you can get, fitted with a Yokomo Drift D1M Motor (15T) , front diff, rear spool. And there is no way I'm leaving it on the shelf.
